Whether World War II coverage was good or not, there was plenty of it:
the Army & Navy accredited some 2,000 war correspondents. Last week the
Navy had already heard from 3,500 press, radio and newsreel people who
want to cover the atomic bomb tests in the Pacific (TIME, Feb. 11). Said
the Navy sternly: there will be room for not more than 150 on the press
ship. Safe guess: no women allowed.
