The New York Times is proudly conscious of its foreign news coverage. The Times has 55 full-time correspondents abroad, many more than any other U.S. newspaper. Some were sitting pretty last week after Publisher Arthur Hays Sulzberger, his eyes firmly fixed on the postwar world, had popped into Paris for a round of conferences.
