Reported his personal physician, Rear Admiral Ross T. McIntire: on his 62nd birthday, Franklin Roosevelt was in better health than at any time since he has been in the White House.

The President has bounced back wonderfully from his recent attack of flu. His above-average stamina is his strong point, said Dr. McIntire. He recovers quickly from extra strain, or illness. Only one thing worried Dr. McIntire: the long interruption in the President's peacetime schedule of five swims a week in the White House pool.
