The future belongs to youth, but whom is youth going to belong to?

Last week the Youth Commission of the Episcopal Church suggested a partial answer to this paramount question. The Commission cabled social-conscious Dr. William Temple, Archbishop of Canterbury, urged him "to initiate plans for a worldwide conference of Christian youth, similar in character and purpose to the Amsterdam Conference of 1939 [sponsored by worldwide Protestantism, attended by 1,300 youths from 70 countries], to be held at the earliest possible moment after hostilities cease."
