> U.S. magazines had a total circulation of 185,887,761 in 1942, up 26,994,432 over 1941.

>Circulation of general magazines increased 7,395,699; of technical and trade publications, 8,667,616.

> Detective, adventure, romance and movie magazines gained 4,831,619 new readers.
