AUTOS: Ford Has a Six

Last week, for the first time since 1908, auto dealers had for sale a six-cylinder Ford. Expected for months (TIME, Sept. 9), the six was not a new car, but a new engine in the V-8 body. It was priced at the old price of the V8, which was simultaneously raised $15.

No official specifications were released, but dealers described the six as a cheaper, more economical (than the V-8), 90-h.p. L-head engine with three-point suspension.
