The vigorous support which Catholic priests and lay groups have given the Chicago Newspaper Guild in its strike against the Herald & Examiner and American has been a matter of grave concern to pious Catholic Joseph Vincent Connolly, general manager of all Hearst-papers. Month ago he reportedly made a vain effort to present in person the Hearst case to George William Cardinal Mundelein.
