National Affairs: Lady's Tale

Mrs. Alf Landon, bashful in politics, has made not one campaign trip with her Nominee-husband, has made not one public campaign speech. Once or twice she has spoken off the record at small gatherings of women's clubs in Kansas, but until last week it appeared that the campaign of 1936 was to pass into history without her contributing a single word to the record.
