ITALY: Power Protection

More important to Fascist Italy than preservation of "outmoded" democratic institutions is the protection of the power plants which run her industries and railroads. Being built last week underneath Mount Castello northeast of Milan—80 miles from the German frontier, 125 miles from France, 30 from Switzerland—was a large underground power station which no aerial bombings could damage.
