Maryland's Governor Harry Nice had his right eye removed at Johns Hopkins.

Political foes cut the whiskers and eyebrows off Aurelio Manriques, Director of Mexico City's National Library, and Congressional candidate opposed to the Government party. When he was exiled in Hollywood, Extra-Player Manriques made his living on his beard.

Actress Elaine Barrie Barrymore appeared in a short film entitled How to Undress Before Your Husband. Ex-Husband John Barrymore protested her using his family name.
