At Scarborough last week, the schoolmasters unanimously agreed that teaching was "man's work," and called for a law to abolish schoolmarms. Grumped Schoolmaster D. N. Thomas: "These avaricious hordes of women already have staked a claim in our field, and the sooner they are smoked out, the better it will be for the boys of this country."
