As it must to all things, the Gallup poll finally came to boxing. Last week, with a plump (14 Ibs. over fighting weight) Joe Louis making the rounds in Paris,* the pollsters asked U.S. sport followers what they expected when Big Joe goes against Jersey Joe Walcott again on June 23. Decision: Louis, 49%; Walcott, 36%. No decision: 15%.
