TIME last week received from its Bangkok correspondent the following rather sinister cable:

Press freedom is one of the main topics of the constitutional debates in the Assembly this week. The very bright press life of the capital of Siam is demonstrated by the murder of the editor of the Chinese paper Kwaseng with his wife, mother and brother. It is alleged that the murdered editor instigated the murder of four labor leaders. Kwaseng heavily attacked the Communists.
