Every time he has run this year, big, brown Armed has been loaded up with 130 lbs. or more. Even so, the "best handicap horse in the business" has broken four track records, won eleven races and $285,725 in purses.

Until mid-July, there was not even a serious contender for Armed's title. Then a patched-up cripple, Lucky Draw, scooted around the Jamaica track in record time, carrying a fluffy 105 Ibs.
