K. N. Benegari filed nomination papers last week for India's Constituent Assembly. In the blank space following "Proposed By" he wrote "God," and in the space after "Seconded By" he wrote "Country." Government officials invalidated the nomination, explaining that neither the nominator nor the seconder was a member of the Bombay Legislative Assembly.
