Medicine: Flat Foot

U.S. bobbysoxers, who have long distressed their parents, began to distress the medical profession last week.

The flat-as-a-flounder moccasins and sandals affected by adolescent girls are just as bad as the high heels worn by their ex-flapper mothers. Mayo Clinic's Dr. Earl C. Elkins warned the jitterbugs that if they keep on wearing the flat flats, their arches will eventually pancake and they'll have "sled runners for feet."
