"Brave little" Finland, all but forgotten in defeat and ignominy, was back in the news and in the good graces of the U.S. last week. She had held her elections (TIME, March 26) and the State Department was apparently finally satisfied that the new leftist-coalition government was "broadly representative of all democratic elements." Accordingly, diplomatic relations were resumed. The exchange of ministers would take place soon.
