In Lincolnshire, England, the Chronicle ran the following advertisement : "Owner of tractor wishes to correspond with widow who owns a modern Foster, thrasher; object matrimony; send photograph of machine." Hooping Cough. In Kingston, R.I.,the Rhode Island State basketball team prepared for its game in Manhattan's Madison Square Garden, where smoking is permitted, by practicing with smudge pots of stale tobacco on the sidelines.
