Word of a rich fish came last week from
Cape Town. The fish is the source of an extract 800 times richer in
vitamin A than the best cod-liver oil. The 60-lb. fish, commonly called
the "bloubiskop" by South African fishermen, is the bafaro
(Polyprion americanus). A thimbleful of its liver oil has enough
vitamin A to supply a whole family for eight months.
