Medicine: Generous Veins

If there were a champion U.S. blood donor, a Pittsburgh truck driver, Russell O. Armour, would appear to be it. Last week he gave his 41st pint in 42 months. Sometimes he has had to use fictitious names, since the Red Cross will not knowingly take blood from anyone oftener than once every two months. Armour has altogether been drained of about three times as much blood as he has in his body at any one time. His weight has stayed the same: around 216 Ib.
