Two New York doctors were pretty sure last week that grey house mice can carry infantile paralysis, and said so, pretty clearlyfor doctors. Clause Jungeblut and Gilbert Dalldorf reported in the American Journal of Public Health that they had found similar viruses (tentatively identified as Theiler's strain of the poliomyelitis group) in the brains of a man who died of infantile paralysis and a mouse found dead in his cellar. This was the first time such a virus has ever been found in a common house mouse.
