The farmers of the sunny, floral little
Mexican village of San Jeronimo, half an hour from Mexico City, have
recently thought much of unhappier places. This week, following the
lead of an Illinois town (TIME, July 20), they changed the name of San
Jeronimo to Lidice, after the martyred Czecho-Slovak village.
