In the June 13 week TIME'S Index of
production eased to 173.5 (estimated), one-tenth of a point below the
preceding week's final figure. Of the Index's three ingredients, steel
was unchanged, power output and carloadings were up less than
seasonally. A year ago the Index stood at 153.6; month ago at 174.0.
