Los Angeles' most distinguished dogs have hitherto been cinemactors. Many of them are in the Army now. To guard Los Angeles Harbor defenses, 25 dogs are being trained to walk post with sentries, sniff out spies and saboteurs. More than 1,000 dog owners, including the owner of Rin Tin Tin III, have offered the services of their pets. Dogs of war must be. 1) big; 2) intelligent.
