Defense Commissioner Signius Wilhelm Poul Knudsen held a press conference in Washington last week. He blushed. He dazed 30-odd reporters by calling them "Sir" and "Madam." At ease, his huge body hunched comfortably in his chair, he handled himself as adroitly as Franklin Roosevelt at his best.
