Istanbul learned with delight last week that the loan by which British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain hopes to win over the Mohammedan Turkish Dictatorship to the cause of Democracy is not to be $30,000,000 as at first announced (TIME, July 25) but $80,000,000.
