Last week the following were news:

William Aver ell Harriman resigned as chairman of Aviation Corp. to devote more time to his chairmanship of Union Pacific Railroad. He was succeeded by Robert Lehman, 41, his classmate at Yale (1913), partner in Lehman Bros., second cousin of Herbert Lehman, Democratic candidate for Governor of New York.

James Drummond Dole, president and general manager of Hawaiian Pineapple Co., which he founded in 1901, resigned as general manager in a reorganization by which the company is raising $1,500,000 new capital. His successor is Atherton Richards, treasurer of Castle & Cooke, big Hawaiian factors.
