From Rome last week issued a report that a Lieut. Neri of the Italian Air Force had streaked
around Lake Garda in a seaplane at 463.26 m. p. h. Fastest speed heretofore
recorded was 408.8 m. p. h. by Lieut. George H. Stainforth of Britain's
Royal Air Force as an aftermath to last year's Schneider Trophy Race.
Lieut. Neri's trial was unofficial.
