There was no important news during the past week directly affecting reparations issues. Private negotiations relating to the Dawes plan were active, as were financial interests; these were said to be of "the greatest importance."

No definite action on the Dawes report was expected in London until after the Conference of Premiers, which is to take place in June (see under), has been held.
