Wars Are Inevitable

Most Americans agree that World War II is not the "war to end war," reported the National Opinion Research Center, of the University of Denver. Pollers found that: 55% believed future wars are inevitable; 14% think wars will be prevented "some day" but not without at least one more; a surprising 26% believed a permanent peace "likely" to come this time. The party breakdown: 30% of 1940 Democrats believe this is the last war; only 20% of 1940 Republicans think so.
