BATTLE OF RUSSIA: The Facts Are . . .

Moscow's Pravda last week denied a London report that 50 German divisions had been transferred from the Russian front to the invasion coasts of Europe. Said Pravda, reflecting Moscow's view that the Allies have yet to create anything like a real second front:

"The real facts are that . . . 211 German divisions are now on the Germans' Soviet front and no withdrawals from that front are taking place." For the rest of Europe, said Pravda, the Wehrmacht has only 91 divisions, including not more than 20 in Germany and Austria, 35...
