First member of British royalty to fly the Atlantic in a bomber, H.R.H. Prince George Edward Alexander Edmund, Duke of Kent, 38, the youngest brother of King George VI, landed in Ottawa last week, where he was welcomed by the Earl of Athlone after a nine-hour hop in a four-engined, American-built Consolidated B-24 Liberator. Purpose: a six-week coast-to-coast tour inspecting the progress of the monster British Commonwealth Air Training Plan.
