When plans were drawn for converting the old Blücher Palace in Berlin into the U.S. Embassy, architects included a "powder room" for visiting ladies. Last week Gestapo agents marched into the Embassy with a copy of the architects' plan in which "powder room" was literally translated Pulverkammer. They demanded to see it, accusing the Embassy of storing munitions. They were shown to the ladies' W.C.
