THE CABINET: Courting Gas

The U. S. will not let Germany have any of its helium (trapped in subterranean rocks in Utah and Texas) to buoy dirigibles which, commercial now, might become military. Last week Secretary of State Hull released 220,000 cubic feet to Germany's neighbor Poland, whose favor is currently courted by the dictatorships & democracies. Stated purpose: stratosphere balloon ascension.
