< The title of Kaufman & Hart's The Fabulous Invalid refers to the theatre, always said to be dying, never quite dead. But so many people have avoided the show, thinking it a "morbid" play laid in a sickroom, that it is now conspicuously subtitled "A Cavalcade of the Theatre."
