National Affairs: States' Men

Pregnant result of last week's elections is that two years hence, when another President is created, the Republican Party will be back in the running with 15 new gubernatorial machines. Losing only three Governorships, and retaining three, the G.O.P. had a net gain of eleven over last year. Five of them are in key States of the Industrial East and Midwest, three in important farm States, three in the Mountain States, one on the Pacific Coast.
