"Names make news." Last week these names made this news:

John Pierpont Morgan took his first airplane ride.

The New Yorker, Manhattan smart-chart, ran an interview with Grover Aloysius Whalen, fine-figured president of New York's forthcoming World's Fair (seep. 35). Excerpts: "My personal investigation in Europe has conclusively proved to me that there'll be no war. Why, the uncle of the King of Egypt told me today that there positively will be no war. ... A wave of enthusiasm for the World's Fair is sweeping Europe. That's what Europe is thinking of now—not war." Also...
