Patron of hunters is the Bishop of Liege who became St. Hubert. Four years ago, adopting an oldtime European custom, Very Rev. George Carl Fitch Bratenahl, dean of the Protestant Episcopal Washington Cathedral, gave churchly sanction to foxhunters by appearing in the field to bless the hounds of the Washington Riding & Hunt Club (TIME, Dec. 5. 1932).
