The recent gubernatorial elections in Kentucky [TIME, Nov. 18 et ante] may well lift the Blue Grass State to a new role in National Politics.
For nearly a century political experts, real and imaginary, have awarded the State of Maine a place of honor as a barometer in forecasting the probable results of Presidential elections.
