On opposite sides of the world, two new imitations of TIME appeared last week.
Everyman, published in London, edited by Major Francis Yeats-Brown (The Lives of a Bengal Lancer), calls itself a "World News Weekly," copies TIME'S picture captions, attempts condensation, but otherwise little resembles TIME. A foreword to the first issue says "People want news rather than opinions. . . . We are against the barren doctrines of Socialism. Communism and class-war."
