Education: To Get a Job

Professor Charles Edgar Bellatty, head of the advertising department of Boston University's College of Business Administration, gave his students twelve pointers last week on how to behave when they go looking for a job:

"Tap on an office door before you open it.

"Enter with a pleasant look on your face.

"Remove your hat; but don't place it on a desk.

''Stand quietly at a respectful distance. . . .

''Don't be the first to offer to shake hands. . . .

"Don't 'pull up a chair' unless you are asked to do so.

"Try to be a good listener....
