Old Aiken won the first match, 14 to 11 (TIME, July 20); Santa Paula won the second 11 to 8 when Stewart Iglehart, Old Aiken No. 3, fell ill. Fifty-three-year-old James Cooley, substitute No. 1 for Old Aiken, made the deciding goal in the last minute of the last match. Score: 12 to 11.
