Business: Wage Front

Great Paramount-Publix Corp. reduced its dividend last month. Last week it announced the wages of all employes and executives will be cut on a graded scale ranging from 5% to 25%. The move is expected to save the company from $2,000,000 to $3,000,000 a year, will be effective until September 1932.

Other news from the wage front last week included:

Warner Bros, pictures planned a 20% salary reduction.

Local No. 134 of the Electrician's Union, Chicago, voted not to accept a raise of 25ยข a day due them under a five-year contract with the telephone company....
