"Names make news." Last week the following names made the following news:

Austrian-born Engineer Gustav Lindenthal, builder of New York City's Hellgate Bridge, co-builder of the Pennsylvania Railroad Tunnels under the Hudson River and planner of the prospective bridge to span the Hudson at Manhattan's 57th Street, celebrated his 81st birthday and said: "In half a century, perhaps . . . New York will . . . rise a great, white, shining city, such as the world has never known, and men will be more at peace there than anywhere on the earth. ....
