Spring brought grave storm warnings to the industrial alcohol industry. On Nov. 1 stocks of alcohol on hand were below the previous year, standing at a comfortable 16,750,000 gal. A warm winter plus Depression caused a change in this situation. At the start of last week stocks of alcohol according to the Journal of Commerce were estimated to have mounted to between 60,000,000 and 80,000,000 gal.
