Depositors in Bankers Trust Co. of Philadelphia, last week found the bank and its 21 branches closed, this notice on its doors: "The business and property of the Bankers Trust Co. of Philadelphia is in the possession of Peter G. Cameron, Secretary of Banking of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania." The bank had $55,000,000 in assets on Sept. 24, was known in Philadelphia as "the Greenfield bank," owing to its identification with Albert Monroe Greenfield, real estate operator.
