On Nov. 5 the people of New York City will elect a mayor. Outstanding issue in the campaign has been the year-old Rothstein murder case (TIME, Dec. 24) with accompanying charges of laxity and corruption in the present Tammany administration, headed by re-election-seeking Mayor James John Walker.
