In England, Dr. R. Cruchet experimented. From the veins, of a horse he drained off blood, which he diluted with serum and at once injected into the vein of an anemic patient. He did the same with the blood of an ox and the blood of a sheep. Horse's blood he found was tolerated best by his anemic patients.
