On the great steel pier at Atlantic City the General Federation of Women's Clubs last week held its 18th biennial convention. The Federation heard William Green, President of the A. F. of L. (against child labor), Governor Pinchot of Pennsylvania (for prohibition), Minnie Maddern Fiske (against the use of furs of animals* caught in cruel steel traps) and many another worthy man and woman.
