BELGIUM: Cabinet Out

For some months the lack of confidence felt by Belgian bankers and industrialists in the Belgian Finance Ministry has been made manifest by their refusal to cooperate with Premier Poullet's Cabinet in its efforts to stabilize the franc, which has been steadily declining.

Finance Minister Janssen (Socialist) was obliged to resign, and the Cabinet fell last week when Premier Viscount Poullet at length found it impossible to hold together the highly complex Centrist-Socialist coalition, which has enabled the Poullet Cabinet to carry on for eleven months.
